The first set of improvements have commenced on the hull after filling a few pin holes I have hollowed out the two fuel/water can stowage slots on the rear wheel arch sections with a motor tool. A cut down water can fits perfectly in one of the holes and has much better definition than the cast in ones. On the other side I will add a box instead of a water can.
A couple of issues now, and with the removal of the casting block at the front I had to add some plastic card as the profile front of the hull was looking really bad. The plastic evens it all out and looks much better. Also the sides of the hull have a distinct lip to them on the real vehicle and while this is sort of replicated on the model casting issues left both sides looking very rough.
Some .040 plastic strip soon sorts them out giving a nice crisp edge to the hull. I'll now send some time cleaning up a few rough areas on the hull before starting on the suspension and wheels.
