FT-17 Filters & Washes

I've now added some filters and a pin wash to the model using wilder products. The effects are very subtle and to be honest don't show up too well over the gloss coat. I've purposely not gone too heavy at this stage as I have found in the past that too much on a small model can totally mask the paintwork and spoil the whole effect. To this end no oil dot fading or streaking will be added. Rather the final weathering will be with a mixture of dry and wet look pigments and mud build up.

  1. eventho i agree that it's easier to turn a small sized model into a blackhole during weathering, i'd go a bit more with the occasional panel discoloration before moving to the dust and mud with pigment phase... still, it's looking great already, enjoy!
