Supacat ATMP More Progress

The model has been built up at lightspeed, one moment it was just a shell and now it's almost done! The checker plate looks the dogs and fit is perfect. I used 5 minute epoxy to secure which gave me plenty of time to align it properly. One touch I really liked was that all the grills sat in small grooves on the plastic parts so location was a doddle. The kit does however suffer from some Bronco type insanely tiny parts with massive attachment points on the sprues. Here I replaced what I could and swore loads whilst cleaning up those I couldn't.

The kit does come with a driver figure which I was going to use but this soon changed when I found it must have been based on a dwarf! It's way underscale, at least to my old eyes and doesn't look quite right. I'll have a delve in the figures box later and dig out a figure to go with the model. One area that got me laughing was the jerry cans supplied in the kit. They are actually WW2 Germans ones with Wehrmacht lettering embossed on them! Quite bizarre to include them in a modern kit. I''l be using some British water cans instead as these seem to be the norm on supacats anyway.
