With the engine & interior fitted it was time to close up the model. Here I took my time and made sure all the parts were lined up correctly before committing to glue. Once in place I then sprayed the main colour using tamiya XF-73 with a few drops of XF-24. I then added flat white to this and sprayed some light fading. Again some satin varnish went on next which helps seal the paint and more importantly makes masking easier. The sides of the model now need to be sprayed black with white sections for the crosses.
This really is coming along beautifully. An unusual subject too, even for WW1.
