Not much work done on the model lately due to other factors however some detail painting has been done. Hopefully more will be done over the coming weekend.
For my next project I've selected IBG models KTO Rosomak as used by the Polish army. This is being built as a duel build along with my Brazilian friend & excellent modeller Marco over on Modellers haven online. as you can see I've bought a few extras to enhance the build so I'm looking forward to finally building this rather big model.
Main colour is now on the model & here I used a mix of tamiya XF60, XF59 & XF2. I may add some highlights next before adding the green camo pattern.
Finished off the building yesterday with just a bit of work needed on the figure and a few missing rivets added. I also made a jerry can rack on one side. After a wash the model was primed with my favorite primer Badger Stynylrez for a nice durable base to further painting.
The model is progressing really well and I've now finished off the second track run & moved onto the turret and other areas. Some work is need on the turret to remove seam lines and ensuring the mantlet fits properly. I also added a small bit of brass tube for the co-ax MG. The exhausts in the kit have solid ends so I used some lead foil which I wrapped around a small file to make up better ones.
Time to build a bit of a classic kit from tamiya in the form of their M13/40. This is the 2008 re box with new parts, figures, a small photo etched fret and a metal barrel. As such it's a mixed bag with some areas showing some flash and other areas that will need a bit of filler.
The tracks are very nice but do suffer from ejector pin marks on the inner surfaces. However a quick swipe with a scalpel blade soon sorts them out and once assembled they look very good having a slight sag molded into the top run over the top idlers.
